Hemp is a naturally durable fiber that was widely used in textiles and shoes until it was banned in the 70s. Hemp is also naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, breathable and comfortable, which makes it a great option to build footwear and underwear.
Are hemp socks warm?
One of the great hemp properties is its insulation and temperature regulating properties. For that reason our shoes and our hemp socks remain warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Are hemp socks comfortable?
In order to develop these socks, we looked at our past and asked older people how did they softened their clothing before the detergent era. The answer was too obvious to believe: baking soda, white vinegar, lavender oils and other stuff that you probably have on your kitchen already. You are blown away, we know.
In other words we reverse engineered how these natural materials work and we applied it to our socks from scratch and the result is ... drums ... ultra softened hemp fibers!

Hemp is the sober cousin of marijuana, which means that it has no psychoactive components, less than 0.3% THC, definitely not a drug. In some countries it is illegal to cultivate hemp, but it is 100% legal to buy and sell finished hemp products like soap, paper and apparel as long as it is produced abroad.
How to wash hemp socks?
Hemp socks, like any other socks can be machine washed.
You should however avoid washing them with hot temperatures above 30º as hemp is a natural material and if might shrink.
